Welcome to the Astronomy club! The exploration of our spectacular solar system, majestic and yet distant galaxies and more will be explored. This Club will include hands-on learning and building while working in small groups virtually!

“DID YOU KNOW?” TIME!

Did you know that Sunday was named after the Sun, Saturday was named after Saturn, and Monday was named after the Moon?

Did you know that the brightest star is named Siruis A, which in Greek means glowing?

Did you know that there is a dwarf planet, located beyond Neptune’s orbit called Haumea, in the shape of an egg?

Advisor: Justin Shaw

Days Meeting: Thursday, from 3-4 PM

Mixed Media Stop Animation

Hello, future animators! Do you like animating things? Do you like SEEING animated scenes? Well, this club is definitely made for you!

Information to know: This group mainly focuses on bringing virtual objects to life on screen. An example of this could be; imagining a ball, bouncing up and down. Next, you would draw the ball on different pages in sequence. Finally, it will appear as an animation.

Days and times: Tuesday, from 3:00 to 4:00 PM

Advisor: Dana Baxter
