Dear FGSD Families,
It’s here, the last day of school! While the start of this school year was a challenge, by the end, the students have really shown their perseverance and resilience. Thank you for sticking with your students and helping them reach the finish line.
We began to return to some sense of normalcy in the last couple of months of the year. Classrooms returned to some more normal activities, we held in-person graduation/promotions and volunteers led field trips to the zoo. Thank you for your patience as we’ve navigated these hurdles.
My hope is that we will have a similar experience when we start in the fall. At this time we are not expecting large changes in how we have been operating our schools with regard to COVID. However, we’ll just have to wait and see when September rolls around.
In the meantime, we are already off and running with planning for next year. We have some critical goals to accomplish and will need your help as families. So, embrace the summer with gusto! Have an amazing summer off with your students. Find time to relax, reconnect and have fun. Be safe and we will see you in September.

Summer Meals
Starting June 20th, Nutrition Services will be providing meal opportunities for all individuals 18 and younger, free of charge. Please visit the district website for full information including times and locations.
FGSD Online Academy Registration
Enrollment is now open for the FGSD Online Academy 2022-23 school year. Please complete the registration form for each student in grade 1-6 that you wish to enroll. Note: your child must be first registered as a student in the district, at their neighborhood school, before enrolling in the FGSD Online Academy.

¡Ya está aquí, el último día de clases! Si bien el comienzo de este año escolar fue un desafío, al final, los estudiantes realmente han demostrado su perseverancia y resiliencia. Gracias por quedarse con sus estudiantes y ayudarlos a llegar a la meta.
Empezamos a volver a una cierta sensación de normalidad en los últimos meses del año. Los salones de clases regresaron a algunas actividades más normales, realizamos graduaciones/promociones en persona y los voluntarios dirigieron excursiones al zoológico. Gracias por su paciencia mientras superamos estos obstáculos.
Mi esperanza es que tengamos una experiencia similar cuando comencemos en el otoño. En este momento, no esperamos grandes cambios en la forma en que hemos estado operando nuestras escuelas con respecto a COVID. Sin embargo, tendremos que esperar y ver cuándo llega septiembre.
Mientras tanto, ya estamos en marcha con la planificación para el próximo año. Tenemos algunos objetivos críticos que lograr y necesitaremos su ayuda como familias.
