Dear Parents and Guardians,
We hope this letter finds you and your family enjoying a wonderful summer break! As the new school year approaches, we are excited to welcome our students back for another year of learning and growth!
We are eager for school to start on Tuesday, September 3rd for fifth grade and Wednesday, September 4th for sixth grade. Our dedicated team of educators are eager to meet you and start the 24-25 school year!
To ensure a smooth start to the new school year, we have attached the school supply list. This list outlines the essential materials that your child will need to be well-prepared for their classes. Please review the attached supply list and ensure that your child has all the necessary items before school starts. You will notice that this year the supplies are broken down into three categories: Need, Nice to Have and Wishlist. This is designed to give each family options when they purchase supplies.
We are to invite you to our "Meet and Greet", happening on the evening before the first day of school. This will happen for 5th grade on Thursday, August 29th, due to the Labor Day holiday and on Tuesday, September 3rd for 6th grade. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to meet your child's teacher and explore their classroom. You are also welcome to drop-off supplies at that time. Teachers look forward to meeting you and beginning to build a strong partnership for a successful school year.
We will be mailing class placements later in August and will post an announcement through ParentSquare and on our “Tom McCall Upper Elementary” Facebook page when they are mailed out so you will know to keep an eye out.
We look forward to a fantastic year ahead, filled with growth, discovery, and success for all our magnificent mustang students. Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education, we can't wait to have them with us at Tom McCall soon!
